I have moved this topic to BNSF forum. As spectacular as derailments can be they are always expensive to restore and never good news for railroads. I have been involved in quite a lot of derailments and the major ones are very costly in restoration and also the prolonged investigation. I cringe with a broken coupler on my layout so you can imagine the BNSF Executives when they wre advised about this, doesnt help the bottom line.
