Do the F3 A and B units take
the decoder for the FT A.

    Can you move the contacts
on the decoder for the FT B?

    Thanks,

You use the same decoders that are used on the Intermountain FT A & B units.

    Thanks Bob.

I found that posted from chad.

The FT A to F3 A was easy.

The FT B to F3 B was harder.

I would recomend FT A decoders
only like chad said in his post.

    Thanks,

I'm glad you were able to install the decoders. It really isn't that difficult an installation.

I like my Kato F-3's much better.

    Bob,

Did you put a 7 gram weight
on the nose of the B unit?

    Thanks,

    Loco1999:

The IM F-3's don't need additional weight. I only add weight to my steam loco's.

    Thanks.

That spot is just begging for a weight.

I know what you mean, they pull a ton.

I was suprised that the B units are
on A unit frames. It makes sense.

If I added weight to a diesel, I wouldn't add the weight at one end.

The middle of the loco is more appropriate. (fuel tank area)
