It's been a long time since I have had an update on my company so here goes......

BLMA is now over one year old and going strong. Over 6 stores (I know of, but there might be more) now carry BLMA parts (this is without advertising, but rather they have come to me or gone through my distributor). I am now directing most orders to go through stores if at all possible to free up some of my time for new parts, improvement on older parts, etc.

Speaking of improving parts, I have two examples below. The first one is the redone GPS dome with mounting plate attached.

Next up we have a major improvement to the modern style cut lever. My modern cut levers up until now were all hand made to very tight tolerances but since I am human, not all were exactly a like (although very close). Below is a sample of the new etched metal cut levers that will replace the older, hand made ones. The cut lever below is an EMD style.

As well as improvements, around 10 new parts will be coming out in a few weeks. Below is a new part (there are actually two styles coming) which is a frame mounted air/water separator

Thanks for listening and the support I have recieved~ [IMG]

Looking good Craig! I bet you are pleased the etched cut levers are now done - with all the time you are saving, you can make more detail patterns :D

I am not new to railroading but I have no idea what detail parts to get. I model SP,SF, UP. in 1960 to 1980's I have gp 7s,9s & 18s. sd7,9s gp 35s sw1200s, and other varios locos. I no sp had a different light arrangement but what else is needed?? the gp 7/9 will be first in SP.

Thanks guys! As Rod said, I am a teen ager (16 to be exact). I will be finishing my SD90MAC-H phase II pretty soon and will have pictures of it to post (along with others).

As far as details go for you ngager. There are many detail parts that are generic and can work on any locomotive, example being grab irons (#59, grab irons WITH the drop coming soon). Cut levers are also used on all locomotives. Sunrise Enterprises has many SP detail parts (I have a few) and things like sunshades and lift rings can be obtained from the Gold Medal Models diesel detailing set. If you have a picture of how you would like a certain model to look or if you can give us an idea of how much detailing you want to do, we (people at TB) can surely help you out.

First off, I don't want it to seem like I am plugging my products when ever I can, (as I will put in the names of some other manufacturers in just a sec) I just want to get a fellow model railroader into detailing.

For your SF GP35's you could use:

    BLMA
    #13 Modern Cut Levers
    #15 Ditch Lights (standard height)
#21 Removed Headlight Cover (if you want to relocate the head lights to the nose)
#30 Round Rear Fan Grab Iron
#32 Spare Coupler Knucle (most locos usually have this mounted on the back pilot)
    #38 Frame Mounted Bell
#59 Grab Irons (standard) W/Drop (not out yet)

    Detail Associates
Nose head light (not sure of number)
    Air Conditioner (Vapor type)

    Sunrise
Not so sure about this but maybe a speed recorder from them.

    Gold Medal Models
    Diesel Detail Set
    *lift rings
    *windshield wipers
    *sunshades
    *rear view mirrors

Keep in mind that you can "high light" certain parts with paint. A great example is the fuel filler cap.

    Hope this helps you.

Craig man, you are a life saver!!! Last year at Galesburg I got to crawl all over a BNSF C44-9CW. I ordered an undec shell from Royal Blue but the cab is only a three window, and I just could not bring myself to pain it. :( But you got the conversion I'm looking for. Do you have anything you could e-mail me, cause I paint a lot of locos for a few places and I always run out of detail parts. Your prices are really good, and I would probably order in bulk. Your details are great looking [IMG]

    Thanks guys.

Yeah BNSF (sorry, don't know your name)I have done many bulk orders and usually take some change off of the total as I wouldn't have to package X amount of parts. Let me know in advance (E mal me at BLMAinfo@aol.com) of what you are looking into.

The new cut levers will be out in about a month, as the ones in the pictures were only samples. The real cut levers will come with 4 mounting loops per lever and will come two to a pack. The price will be $3.25 for a pair. This may sound expensive but I am putting in a big chunk of change to have this part done. And once again, if bulk orders are placed, the total is brought down.

If you have any further questions please E mail me at BLMAinfo@aol.com

Maybe I can get Dane (BC Rail King) to talk to his employer, one of the largest model railroad stores in Vancouver BC and Pacific Scale in New Westminister BC to carry your parts, then you will have to learn about cross border shopping...lol. (Canada)
