I would love to show my new double ended plow but I seem to be in upload purgatory as I have almost met my 976.6 KB limit with only 15 KB left... There seems to be zero explanation about this in the "Manage Attachments" and Q&A is of complete zero help.... Any body know how long this lasts? Or can I never upload another image again?.... Be kind of nice if they actually spelled all this stuff out in an easy to find place, like right in "Manage Attachments". In fact under "attachments and images" in the Q&A section all it says in regards to my problem is: "In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board." That doesn't really tell me anything specific about anything... Is there a secrete "help" link button I have yet to find? Under advanced search in general search they do have a subcategory for "support" and "support issues" but I really have no desire to plow through 1000's of posts just to find image quota limit and what it means as far as how long until I can upload more images or if I'm done for good.... (Moved to Support Forum. Not a Z topic.) There are two places for uploading here on TrainBoard. One is our RailImages site. The other is TrainBoard Albums. Which one are you talking about?
Assuming for the moment that you're referring to Railimages, there is a storage limit. A complete explanation of the setup can be found here.
I'm just trying to post images on a post. I get the same results if I use the image icon to insert an image or the "Manage Attachments". It shows the images of the last post which are being used and that I'm almost at my limit of 976.6 KB. It only gives the option to upload from my computer. Which is fine because that's what I'm trying to do. But it gives no options to pull images from other albums or sources. Thanks, -Jon
Where are your photos? RailImages or TrainBoard Albums? If one is full, use the other. Upload, then attach or link from there.
Thank you Eagle2 and might I suggest this be easier to find like right in the Q&A section. More then most likely this is a stupid operator error on my part. But unfortunately the post does not explain why my limit is only 976.6 KB. That's not even 10th of 10 MG. And I have created no albums but I have posted previous pictures. I've gone over "my profile" very carefully and find no references to any images, period. Not even under the tab "photos". So I have no idea what my grand total is for file size in images. For all I know I could be right at 10 MG.... Thanks, -Jon

OK. Now I understand where you are working from. You'd need to delete something, in order to make room in your attachment storage area. That's a fixed size for everyone. As a TrainBoard Member, you have TrainBoard Albums to use for uploading. You also automatically have a RailImages account, available if desired. Same user name and password as with TrainBoard. There are buttons for accessing both of these in the red bar at top of this page.
Well.... I have no idea what happened because I touched nothing but I went back to "Manage Attachments" to take a screen dump to help show whats going on and I'm no longer 15 KB from my limit which is no longer at 976.6 KB. So if something was fixed, thank you, I really appreciate that. Thanks, -Jon
It can be something Internet related as well. Sometimes we can pinpoint an issue, other times it is beyond our ability to intervene.
