Due to lack of time, and declining interest, I have boxed up all of my Trains for the future. I am also pondering on switching BACK to HO.

Pat, are you disposing of your N inventory?

If you have a list, I might be interested in some '40-'50 rolling stock and some other stuff. Send me a private e-mail if you wish.

more or less lack of inetest in N scale, too small for me, it took 1 and a half years and 300 dollars to figure it out. I'll gradually build my HO inventory back up, but for now I stepping out of the hobby somewhat but I'll get over the teenage brat thing (guys chasing girls, lol) and get back into this. [IMG]

When I was about 15-16, I kinda drifted away from trains... at that time I was into HO, and I dabbled in almost every other scale. I had a bit of G, some N, and even some Lionel and Marx O-27. N scale brought me back a few years later. :D I've found that this is a hobby that is extremely hard to get rid of for long. Not like I'd want to!

Unless you really need the money, I would strongly suggest you hold on to all of your N and HO equipment, as we all have gone through what you are going through now.

Once the seed has been planted, you will come back when you feel ready, possibly after you have settled down with a particular woman and you set up a home.

I sold some HO stuff before my 1st marriage which I totally regretted, and learned from my mistake on my second marriage. I am happy that I didn't dispose of any of my trains, no matter what the scale.

Solid advice, but it would also depend on the quality of your collection. If it's higher end, it would be worth hanging onto. But if it's lower end, it will probably be worthless over time. Get rid of it now while you can still make a buck or two.

I too speak from experience, as I took a 17 year break myself. Unfortunatly, most of my N-scale stuff was lower-end back then and is junk today. The scale dramatically improved in quality over the years I was away, and my stuff didn't stand up to time very well.
