    Hey Y'all !

My name is Nick and im a model railroader . My OLD layout it packed up in the attic and has been for YEARS & YEARS. So im also a drummer as my other hobby and needed that space for the drum kit . But here recently i have gotten the spark back in me to put up an HO scale 4x8 layout in the garage where i park my car . So i told my parents i would leave my car out in the driveway and use that space for my train layout !!! So here i am now that i found a place online to call home with other railroaders . Anyway i ordered a BRAND SPANKING NEW Norfolk Southern Thoroughbred bachmann layout on ebay from a local dealer for get this .................. $76.01 SHIPPED and that included tax and shipping charges !!! The engine is an F7 , also on ebay i got a GP38-2 Norfolk Southern DUMMY to hook up behind it . Its made by Athearn .. the couplers are different , but im gonna try it and see ! =)

I look forward to making NEW friends on here ASAP !!! Take Care guys & girls

Welcome Pappy C! From an east Tennessee granddad (new to trains).

I have been on five different forums recently looking for good help, and this forum beats the rest by a long shot! I am working on a “kid-friendly” (78” x 160”) layout. For the time being, I am into Bachmann track, locomotives, and DCC (for better and worse). I also buy on eBay. It is a usually a good experience when I remember to use a lot of patience and caution.

    Have Fun! Bob

Welcome aboard Nick! If you're worried at all about it, I think you'll find that changing HO couplers is easy. Best of luck with your renewed interest.
