Its been discovered that on the first runs of FT from Intermountain the two screws that hold the board in place are too large causing the shell to fit too high on the frame. All runs coming out now have a smaller screw but the complete runs of GN & ATSF "Catwhisker" have the larger screw. There are three ways to fix this, one is to file down the screw head till it matches the curve of the frame, or replace the screws with ones that have smaller heads, or call Intermountain for replacement screws but being that the drives are made in China they may not have screws to replace them here in the USA.

With these screws filed down the shell drops noticeably and looks much better

Here's a before and after photo, notice the gap between the top of the trucks and bottom of the shell.

Well, now we know the answer to the question: "what could possibly look better than one of those new IM FT's?"

Answer: a new IM FT with smaller circuit board screws!

Thanks for the great photo. Now I am even more anxious for those CB&Q units. Marty?!
