The new Rock IMRC F7s are due for delivery this month. Should be stunning. Anybody interested in the Passenger versions of these? Or for that matter the later 'yellow wing scheme'?
I would really like to see them do a maroon/yellow wings scheme or a red/yellow speed lettered version, or a solid maroon with pin stripes. The passenger scheme is too back dated for my era. As long as they get the color close to correct I would be happy. The red color in the black/red scheme had too much of an orange look about it. The maroon/yellow schemes that Athearn and Atlas introduced looked almost dead on whereas the maroon used by p2k on the sw-8 seemed a bit too light. It did not stop me from purchasing 3 of them however. Normally anything Rock Island winds up in my collection. I model 1965-1975 (pre blue) so many of the recent releases are running on the layout. The delivery schemes are in display cases. Does Intermountain plan on releasing the F's in more updated schemes? AF Niederer
Would be interested in the passenger versions, like many I wouuld be interested in the 1960's stuff I saw as a child in Mason City, IA/ Too many models are made in the "as delivered" schemes which are too old for most of us!
