And guess what it's leading? The UP E8s with a passenger train at Union Station... I'm not sure how long it's gonna be there though or what train it was pulling.
I seen one the other day on the head end of a stack train through here. I got some photo's of it. Now if I had a way to post them on the forum. This is the second one I have seen through here.
I know what you mean Mr. Doran!! This summer my family and I slipped out West for a few weeks....I about had a heart attack when I saw that majestic UP logo across the nose of the lead unit on a train just off the interstate...I never reached for my camera so quick. I got some good shots, but since I don't have a scanner, I cannot share them. But i'm sure y'all out yonder (west) see enough of them that you are prolly sick by now! Nick
Man, the SD70M and the E units weren't tacked on the train when i went over to Union Station at about 5 pm or so... I bet they're at Burnham- i might have to make a house call!
Go for it,man! Tunnel do you have both railroads in the yard at Denver or are there two seperate yards for them in town. ------------------ Keep on railroad'n
Hey poohdawg, They are still a fairly new item yet. Even though the UP have a 1000 of them coming I have only seen 2. And it is going to take them 4 years to build this order. And who says they won't make changes to the future orders. Always help to pull out that camera when in doubt! ------------------ Keep on railroad'n
They were tacked back on the train this morning! I bet they leave today, so i'll probably miss em... Wow, those E8s sure look good. In that pic of North Yard, you can see 2 SD70Ms at the end of that assemblage of units...
