Well i was woken up this morning by my mom to tell me to come into the living room and she turned on the TV and there is a MAJOR derailment south of brooks,ky CSX mainline from louisville,ky to nashville,tn which this derailment caused 4 tanker to explode i live about 15 miles from brooks,ky but when i get some more INFO i sure will let yall know
OK I GOT MORE INFO......The interstate is 2 1/2 miles away from the tracks the are gonna close 1-65 north & southbound

Well the fire has been going about an hour now and it aint died down none at all so it will be a long day for the fire department and it will be a long week for the RR
Yep that is another local channel but what do you think about it I thank this is amazing but also i got more info the train was heading NORTH it was about 10 miles from the osborne yard and it WAS heading into the yard
Reminds me of the 1973 Roseville, (Antelope) California train fire / explosions. I lived about 1.5 miles away from that and the concussion from the explosion(s) blew the front door in, shattered the glass on the sliding door on the other side of the house and knocked the garage door off it's tracks.
Well i just got some info from my sister her husband work right next to that explosion and he cant get out of work also schools are evacuating
Well im keepin a good EYE on this fire im just waiting for them tanker cars to EXPLODE My dad is a copier repair man and he is at the fire department working on a copier and he said they are keeping a close eye on it and also they might get called over there to get this baby out because they said its possible to go on for days so that might have messed up my railfanning plans this weekend:sad:
