Well I ran across this forum by accedent. I am getting back into model railroading after a few years out of it. To be honest it was my 9 year old that dug out my N scale stuff that has refired me to go again. Now I used to have a 3X5 layout that was nice, not great but nice. The layout is long gone as are most of the equepment. But I did keep most of my rolling stock, but it did not age well in the basement. We have gotten the bosses permision to build another layout and cleared enough space for a large one. About 4X8. I do have a few questions here but will get to them later. As for now I just figured I would say hi and introduce myself. I remember growing up watching the Chessie System roll by behind our home in VA, after moving to MN I would walk the trails (used to be railroads) and dig up railroad spikes, and any other misc stuff I could find. Even found an old crossing light once but had to give it to the musuem that owned the rights. I started with HO, most popular and easiest to get. I then moved to N for space reasons. Well there I am, kinda. So looking forward to getting to know you all and looking forward to building a great layout, with some help. Shaun

Thank You for the great welcome. The more I look at what is now available I find myself in awe. I will start a thread with just what I am planning on doing, and to get some ideas/ opinions. Shaun
