I happen to be at the right place at the right time the other day. I was in Milan, MI, and noticed some activity around a parked CP AC4400 loco. CPs aren't usually sitting around Milan. This the crossing of the Ann Arbor Railroad and NS, but CP does have track rights for their container trains running to and from Chicago and Windsor, Canada, via the Detroit Tunnel.

Anyhow after watching for a while I relized they were replacing a traction motor that apparently was locked up, making the loco unmovable. Pretty interesting to watch a couple cranes lift the entire front end of the loco off the tracks by at least 10 feet!

Sorry for the shaky camera work. I didn't pack a tripod.

Those sideloaders are amazing pieces of machinery. It always baffles me how RJ Corman's derailment division rerails equipment around here.
