Ok all I work over in Gary and I know where the B&O and NYC went through As it is now CSX and NS.But where did the Pennsy go through?South of Gary?I am curious cause I read how the PRR shot across this area at like 100mph back in the good old days.A story in Classic Trains has intriuged me on this topic. Thanks for the help.
It's good to have a rail on board here at TB. Help me out. Gary...where? I keep thinking Gary, Indiana. .
From the maps I have, I show the PRR coming thru Gary on what could best be described as the S.W. side of Gary. It ran parallel to the Wabash(south side of the WAB) for part of the route, crossing the IHB and MC mains. The NKP ran roughly parallel to the PRR but much further S.W. of the Pennsy Charlie
LOL Sorry guys, yes gary Indiana.SW Side you say? I know we cross former Pennsy in Harstdale. So Ill just have to backtrack from there.Speaking of the harstdale Interlocker its about to be removed soon. Not sure when but its on its way out.
