They're finally here, folks! After returning from a 3-month deployment in which I left soon after I finished the model, I have had time to figure out the new railimages site, and post some pics! N joy!!!! I removed the space between the g and [ jpg [/IMG] to this jpg[/IMG] [ 10. December 2002, 04:49: Message edited by: Colonel ]
Haven't learned how to steer that thing, huh? Looks nice, though. [ 11. December 2002, 19:18: Message edited by: absnut ]
Colonel, I realized my error, and was about to repost it, but you beat me to it!! Thanks! I never painted the handrails on any of my locos till this one, and it really makes it look good. BTW, here's the real one, the one I got to take a cab ride around Gavin Yard in!
Yeah! Is there any other colour combo better, bar red/white and maroon/dulux gold? Nice job, H-man! How did you go about painting the handrails? I mean, what prep and paint?
I basically used what I put in the airbrush! Just Model Flex BN green. I also washed the shell and handrails in warm, soapy water, before painting. I hand-painted the rails. I also used Tamiya R/C car paint for the white highlights. It came out blobby, tho.
