Darn. I'll try later. Right now, am only getting "The page cannot be displayed" messages....

Should be working now. I just tried it. They just upgraded their system and are working out some kinks.

I can understand that. We've had a few since our upgrading of TrainBoard and RailImages.

Just tried it, and it worked fine. Quite a days worth of railfanning!

I have often wondered- Will traffic volumes ever merit replacing the fourth track?

I am not sure. Longer trains seems to be taking up the slack for the volume at this time. But they are clearly leaving the option open because it is one of the inside tracks that had been taken out.

I'm driving back to Texas in April from Maine, and I'd like to swing by & shoot the action on Horseshoe. What's the best way to get there from Altoona, and is there a good place to shoot without getting harassed by overzealous folks, and staying off the property?

Feel free to contact me off-list if you like.

Oh yes- those are good shots! I like the one of the Pennsy Geep stuffed & mounted at the curve.

The following URL has information about the curve and how to get there as well as an excellent railroader's museum in Altoona. There's a nice park at the Curve where I got the pics I did. I met a fellow there on Friday, I will see if I can get his permission to give you his email address (or perhaps get him to join and respond to you himself). I am glad you enjoyed the photos! Thank you!
