Just curious. I've been swapping e-mails with a fellow who is interested in this scale. And has me thinking about perhaps building a module. Is there anyone here who is actively modeling in HOn30? Boxcab E50
Greg- That's the problem. So many of us suffer from modelrailroaditis. An affliction whereby we get all kinds of ideas, that always out pace our paycheck. Boxcab E50
Think theres a Kalmbach book out there by Frarry and Hayden. They built a layout called the Carabesset and Dead river in HOn30. There are quite a few people who do this scale....Mike
Mike- I have a few articles on the Carrabasset & Dead River in my scrap book. But I did not know they'd put together a book. Do you have any more info????? Boxcab E50 [ 08. February 2003, 02:10: Message edited by: BoxcabE50 ]
Sorry Boxcab thats the best I can do here. Try calling Kalmbach and see if its still in stock. Dont remember if I have seen it advertized in Model Railroader lately . I can check at my LHS to see if they have it or not....Mike
Yup, we have tried some H0e modelling in the club. The result...... "G. Thommen" is one of the best to pull. ----------------------------------------------------- "Berta" has just started on her first trip of the day. ----------------------------------------------------- "Berta" is, despite her size, a hard working locomotive. ------------------------------------------------------ The rest of the photos are on my web page: There is some english texts there. Jon- Thanks for the photos. Just curious- What kind of track are you using? Is that HOe or N? Boxcab E50
Frary, and Hayden had an excellent article in RMC, in 1972, on the HOn30(2 1/2) Thatcher's Inlet. Feb. Mar. Apr. May 1972. Pete
Pete- Those two have done some fantastic stuff over the years! Talk about talent! It would be great if only all the articles could be gathered together into one volume for publication. But since they have written for more than one magazine, sadly that won't be possible. I have accumulated some of these article into my scrapbook for easy reference. Boxcab E50
