For you Pacific Northwest fans, the Oregon Rail Heritage Center is now taking orders for the Holiday Express operations this year. 4449 will haul the trains. Each trip lasts a little less than an hour, and will start at Oaks Park in Portland. Trips take place all day on the dates: November 26,27,28, December 4,5, 11, 12 and 18,19. These are fun, kids love them and they don't last long enough to bore them. Santa is on the trains and in the evening they are decorated with Christmas lights. This is not a commercial, I'm just spreading the news as a former volunteer there.
