Since I'm returning to the hobby after a 20 year hiatus, I was wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to view some reference photos so I can start planning my layout? Any information is greatly appreciated. Officer "B"
One place is the Hoboken Shore RR home page at hbs@railfan.net It has some very interesting photos. John~
Thank you... Thanks John. I have been doing some surfin' the net for some stuff but have found very little. A long time ago I had a book about the water front with lots of phots but when I go out of the hobby, I gave it away. I didn't have the space I have now to do what I wanted and now that I own a house with a two car garage with a huge loft I can build my dream layout... Officer "B"
The Spring 2006 issue of "Classic Trains" had a 2 page aerial shot (pages 72/73) of the DL&W Hoboken terminal and waterfront, along with a numbered key indicating what the different parts of teh complex were. No article, so it may not be worth your while to buy the magazine just for the photo. But if one of your friends has the issue it would be useful to see it. Regards Ed
A check of RailPictures... "Hoboken" produces almost entirely NJ Transit shots. "Weehawken" results in a few, of which only this one seems like what you're looking for: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=91644
Check www.hobokenterminal.com The unofficial NJ Transit website. Also www.rr-fallenflags.org Go to Erie Lackawanna,& you'll see trains in Hoboken Terminal.
Thanks Ed. Now my next question is does anyone ahve this issue and possibly a scanner??? LOL.... Scott aka Officer "B"
