I'm looking at a satellite image of the Los Angeles area, and there are two yards almost parallel to each other (more like a V shape) near the city of Commerce, located just east of what I believe to be Hobart Junction. The two yards are split down the middle by E. Washington Blvd. I believe one yard is Hobart Yard (BNSF), and the other is the Commerce Intermodal facility (UP).

Is the yard on the south side of E. Washington Hobart, or is it the one on the north side? All of the directions I find for Hobart are ambiguous, since both yards are adjacent to each other.

    Thanks.

This probably doesn't help, but when I took the Southwest chief into LA Union Station, Hobart, or at least part of it was on the left side of the train which means west/southwest. So, If you were to follow the BNSF tracks from fullerton to LA Union, Hobart would be to the left.

I'd help more, but I'm on dialup and can't look at the sat images.

    Hobart is south of Washington.
