Guys, I'm looking for help in designing myself an HO switching layout. I'd like to keep it small, say 18x72 inches, and simple. I recently joined a local HO scale club, and I've slowly been aquiring HO scale rolling stock to run there. I would like to have a layout of my own, however, for when I don't feel like traveling. I guess I'm pretty flexible in what it can be. My current HO scale roster includes an Athearn S12 and a Walthers 3-bay grain hopper, but it's slowly growing. I'm kinda interested in seeing different approaches taken to the layout theme. I'd like some rural and urban designs, and some in between. Since I don't have much rolling stock now, I can always aquire more based on the layout. Any takers out there?
Great idea Brian. Thats a nice size switching shelf layout. Do u have atlas RTS for drawing a layout or some other type software? Could your dimensions go 24"x 72"? StickyMonk has a nice switching plan. Look at the HO section. [ 18. November 2002, 11:46: Message edited by: railery ]
