I am getting back into the hobby after a 15 year hiatus. I am planning a 10ft x 20" HO scale layout in the diesel era. I like the Gumstump & Snowshoe concept as it gets way from the typical flat design. I have come up with this initial track plan, slightly modified from the original. Motive power will be an Athearn MP15AC w/40-50' rolling stock on Peco C75 track, small radius turnouts, save for one medium radius in the yard. Things have come a long way since I was last active and I am thinking about building a NanoX-S88 DCC system, though initially this will be DC since I will be operating only 1 locomotive. What do you think, any suggestions? Thanks for any feedback! Todd
May want to lengthen your runaround a bit - looks like it's only long enough to run around 1 car. Your tail tracks appear able to hold 2-3 with a loco. Otherwise looks good for a small switching layout.
