I am just new to this site. I posted to the Z Forum instead of HO. I have the system down pat now. 22 Bachman hoppers Stripping and installing weights and other details that came with in the boxes. Adding reinforcement angles to tops if sides (READING RR.) Painting and decalling. I squirrelled away a ton of HK sets. 6 Ramax two bay centerflows These are decorated. Have another 8 assembled that I am not sure what roadnames I am going to use. Finally 15 MDC two bay covered hoppers being converted to ballast hoppers similar to Penn Central cars. They will be READING RR. They didn't have any but picked them up second-hand from Penn Central after Conrail took PC over. The READING survived Conrail and is thriving. Francis A. Welcome at TrainBoard, Francis. That's alot of work you have there. Don't forget weathering the cars. I airbrush the wheels and trucks. And the body gets also a light brush. Wolfgang
This is whats on my work bench, it is a low relief loading shed for my North West saw mill layout. It is my first attempt at working with wood:
I haven't been at my workbench in months, but I could do any number of things. Trees are in short supply on my layout, several engines need lubricating/re-lubing by now. In fact, I did something I promised I would never let myself get into the position to have to do the other night...I packaged up some rolling stock and three engines to make room on the layout and the fiddle/staging yard. I had not wanted to get to the point where my acquisitive nature had me storing stuff not immediately wanted for use. Still, I'm not going out with a whimper. I'll continue to resist buying more steamers....but (sniff) it's hard..... And, I still have the Keystone Danby Sawmill kit staring at me....unstarted. I think I'm going to finally give it a go this winter.
Glad to see an H0 scale workbench thread. I will add a few here, too. No longer a need to add to N or Z scale threads.
B.T.S. Tobacco Barn kit - sort of a tribute to my Mom who passed away in August. One of her favorite pictures was one of the tobacco barn my Grandfather built in North Carolina across the road from their house. Oh, man - one of my favorite memories from when I was a kid was the smell of the tobacco curing in that barn.
Keep To It! Thanks for the interest guys. The reason I have so much going on is because I decided that nothing goes on the workbench until something comes off. I've had to post some signs as a reminder! Francis A. Pehowic, Jr. in Sunbury, Pa.
That is the main frame of a decapod milling the guides for the axle bearings. The milling device is quite new and that is one of the first jobs i tried with this machine. Lutz

Next up is a PFM brass USRA light mikado getting detailed for NKP, last up is a PFM NKP Berkshire getting a working mars light circuit installed and some general maintance. When those get finished up I have a NKP wood caboose laser kit to build. Mike
Renumbering an old Varney Union Carbide tank car for the club operations. We probably have a duplicate number. I found these nice decals so I hope they don't get mad because I changed the reporting marks from "GATX" to "ACFX." [edit] I just noticed that the Microscale decal sheet does have a "GATX" reporting mark. I just missed it.

Assembled these Accurail kits tonight for the club. My first Accurail kits. They are very nicely done and go together easily. Still need to weather a little. We always add metal wheels and metal Kadee no. 5 couplers. I was thinking about ordering the Accurail decal numbers for making additional cars with different reporting marks. Has anyone ever done this?
