Its Been a while scince i Posed a thread Regarding my layout
and after a whole lot of you guys commented (Very Helpfully)
I am back with a few more ideas. i just hope you can all read the plans clearly on your screens. as there are Notes on the drawings
    to help clarify things.

I Have a few more design ideas i got from some of you from the first time i posted for the layout (one of them an E shaped layout with the back of the E along the wall) which i will submit when i finish them.
But it takes time. once again thankyou for all the input and dont be shy about giving advice on my latest efforts.
Hopefully my work wont keep me away from my trains as it has done since the beginning of the year.
Some more Notes I would like to make the mainline less liniar with more curves to it and i must still add sidings and yards etc
The main industries will be a steel mill and some mining
Benchwork and other drawings showing towns and roads etc will follow once i decide on which option to go with
    regards
    Juan

    [Anotherjuan,

It is evident that you have spent some time considering the various layout plans that can fit into the space you have. However, because of the image size restrictions here on the Trainboard, much of the detail you provided is lost. The detail can still be shown, but it will require that the drawing be broken up into many pieces. Rather than resort to that method of presentation, you might want to consider the following.
    1. Eliminate all notes. Show the mainline and other tracks using a polyline with a continuous linetype, and appropriate width,
    2. Consider using a color pallet that will allow the viewer to easily differentiate. between features such as main line and sidings or yards.
    3. Fill in the missing pieces with a short narrative. In some cases, you can just copy your notes to the clipboard and paste them directly onto your post.
I realize that the above is a radical departure from the line drawings we normally think of when preparing a set of engineering drawings, but it will make it easier for you to get your point across. In the past I have used Auto-cad to do this using several different color dependent plot styles in conjunction with several pen styles of non standard widths.

I do prefer the alignment plan you presented on the left of the four drawings you posted. It appears to offer more long runs before requiring an abrupt change in direction to move along the next wall.

I hope that you are able to elicit more responses using a different technique of presentation.

    Jerry
