I am trying to get the trucks off my atlas PRR heavyweight passenger cars. They have a round plastic cylinder in the interior and a flat pin on the bottom outside. Because of the age of these and the unavailability of parts, I am being a bit cautious about prying them out. I have removed the roof and tried to hold the pin and rotate the cylinder. I have applied light pressure under the head of the pin, but they don't want to budge. HELP...anyone have the answer?
Hi Ray, My experience with all the Atlas/Concor/Rivarossi coaches has been a screw into a metal cylinder that has a taped hole all the way through (I think so an electric illumination bar can be fitted into the roof). Does your plastic cylinder have a hole in the top? Cheers, James
