Bachmann 2-8-0 Consolidation, HO. I was working on it and unplugged the 8 pin connector from the mother board and, whitlessly I might add, neglected to notice the color orientation (rotation) of the connector. Many engines I have have a mark or color that is goof proof.

So, here's a photo. Does ANYONE know how to rotate the connector? I could guess of course, but I only have a 50/50 shot of getting it right. FWIW, there is an "H1" stamped on side of the mother board. The simple question is, which corner does the black wire go? Here's a photo:

Looks like your track inputs is top right and to the motor bottom left. Trace one of the inputs back and compare it to colour of the wire in the harnass. Your motor, black wire, looks like it goes to top left pin which should be your orange wire. Top right pin is the red from the right track.

One secret -- you won't hurt anything if you put the plug in backwards, just the directions will be incorrect and, if LEDs, the lights won't work. Becomes quickly apparent, and you can reverse the plug if necessary.

Thanks! I was afraid I’d fry something. Just my luck sometimes.
