Hello from Southern Illinois! Just retired in May of last year and started my first N Gauge layout. I consider this a practice layout for my larger DCC operation. I always wanted to do modeltrains and now have the chance. Hope I can pick up some tips here and learn. I have almost completed my practice layout and will post some photos soon..again big wave to you all.
Welcome to TrainBoard! Please do post up a few photos. Just hop over to our N Scale Forum and let us see what you're doing.
sure will maybe show you a loco that I had for a long time I decided to weather the other day. Really kinda new at this but hope to learn.
Hey Cooder, Welcome to the TrainBoard, glad to have you on board. You sound disgustingly well organized. I mean, what train modeler builds a "practice" layout first? Most of us just dove in, nearly drowned, came up sputtering, and said "Dang, This Is FUN!"
Welcome from a former St Louisian. We're glad to have you along, and don't worry, most of us are still practicing!
A big Trainboard Welcome from DeLand Illinois just north of you! Have you been to Galesburg RR days before? It's a great show every June, a lot of midwestern Trainboard members head to it every year. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
When I go to the Galesburg Railroad Days, I'm gonna get a "sticky" name tag and put "Trainboard" on it. That way I'll find other TB members. What do you think?
