I am a retired electronics technician, modeling the SP in Oregon in 1954, in N scale.

Welcome aboard from another Oregonian. I don't model, but chase the ex-SP 4449 whenever possible.

I would be glad to give you any information I have about Oregon. I am a native, so I have been all over the state and can help you figure out where you want to go. Its a beautiful state with every kind of scenery there is, from sand deserts to old-growth forests, snow capped mountains, and the Pacific coast.

I don't recommend Bend. Cost of living is going through the roof and no basements. My train room is going to cost a literal fortune for the addition.
