New to the board! Recently required the "train fever" and here to learn what I can. My primary interest is in old Marx O scale stuff. Those were the trains of my youth.:)

    Welcome to TrainBoard!

I grew up with Lionel O, O-27, American Flyer S, Marx O-27 and even some HO. What ever I could save up to buy, or scrounge from school classmates, etc. Great memories and sure wish I still had that accumulation. Oh what fun I had. I always think about the day when I can no longer do scale trains, going back to the 1945-1969 era stuff again.

There's so many things that we all took for granted as children (almost no matter what age we are now) that we now look back and ask, "Why didn't I hold onto that?" Welcome back to the hobby, and best of luck getting reacquainted with your younger self!

Hi YJ, Welcome to the Train Board, glad to have you on board. I'm interested to see what you do with your Marx collection.

Welcome aboard, Yukon Jack. Like you, I owned Marx O27 as a kid, and I had a lot of it. Every Christmas asked for, and usually received, new freight and or passenger cars. Started out with 2-4-2 999 and eventually got the plastic Santa Fe 4-6-4. Somehow or other it all disappeared after I left home.
