Hello all members, My name is Franck, I'm 43 and leave in a small village in French Alps near Grenoble town. Many years back I started a small "layout" which was more or less ... a circle with one siding pass ... I was little boy and spent a lot of time on it. Then time has gone and other occupations (family, house...) replaced my small layout. One year back I retrieved it and I still looking small trains with my past boy's eyes :tb-ooh: It was time for me to start a new layout. I started to visit some forum, video on y..t.be of layouts and found this one. Seams well attended :mwink: so I decided to subscribe. I just start so I will takes more than I will be able to give hope you will understand. I will present my project soon. Thanks Franck
Bonjour from Texas. A French Alps layout could be really spectacular. I remember Model Railroader magazine once had a trackplan for a layout based on the Paris-Lyon-Meditarranee line. Good luck and happy chemin-de-ferring. (That is probably bad French grammar.)
Franck, Welcome I know Grenoble well. I been there many times years ago going to Chamonix to climb. I had a girl friend who lived in Visille. That is small! Any layout of your area will be very nice. Jim:tb-biggrin:
Hello Anthony, Thank you, will try my best Good luck and happy chemin-de-ferring. (That is probably bad French grammar.) => just remove "ring" and is perfect  Franck
Hello Jim, I love Chamonix also for skiing or just walk with "raquette" (racket ? I don't think it is same object). The worls is so small if you know Vizille ! Welcome back in Grenoble area in case you have opportunities ! Thanks Franck
Good to have you here, Frank. I've always enjoyed my time in Europe, but never made it to your part. Good luck and I know you'll find lots of help - most folks realize that we all started somewhere and remember the thrill of having much to learn!
