Hello all! I'm a N scale modeler primarily modeling Japanese trains, with a few western US roads thrown in. I'm currently in the SF bay area, and am working on a few T-track modules. I had a few O and HO trains as a kid but only got back into modeling and N scale a few years ago after working in Japan. Glad to be here! -Sam
Hey Sam, glad you finally signed up. Lots of cool stuff in here - it's been my main source of reading lately especially the T-Trak section. i've also landed a lot of good deals in the classified section.
Thanks Junior! I've been looking through the forum, lots of good stuff here! I'm trying to be strong in the classified though.
Welcome fellow Californian! (From Los Angeles here). Do you know a user here named MC Fujiwara? If not you should! He also models trains from Japan and also lives in the Bay Area.
I've seen his work, but sadly I haven't been able to meet him yet. I've read all his blog posts and his modeling is very inspiring. I am actually from the LA area, have you been to Belmont Shore club? I've applied to join when I move back down south in the summer.
He's on this forum, I'm sure you can connect with him. Send him a PM! I'm sure he'll appreciate meeting another modeler who's into Japanese railroads. Yes, I've been to the Belmont Shore club, I go to their Swap Meets/Open Houses every Spring and Fall. Their swap meets are the only ones you'll see around here that are actually majority N scale!
