Greetings, I just wanted to say hello to all the other member's that have come before me. I've not yet started on a layout yet but know I'm going to go with N scale. I've been buying N scale lot's on ebay trying to amass a substantial amount of track and all the bells and whistles that I can afford. I've been doing so for about two years now and think I'm ready to dive in or rather stick my toe in the shallow end. So I look forward to picking your brain's and hopefully making some new friends. Well thats it for now and thanks in advance, Bhbs
Hi Bhbs, Welcome to the TrainBoard, glad to have you an board. Don't worry about the water, Trust Us, we'll show you where the rocks are...LOL
Welcome aboard. I'm sure with N Scale you'll be able to fit lots of fun into a small space. Look forward to see your progress in the New Year. Happy Holidays to you and yours
Welcome aboard Bhbs. As a 35 year former resident of the Palmdale-Lancaster area, I have to ask if the real size passenger car that used to be at the Antelope Valley fairgrounds is still around and still housing the model railroad? I think it was HO.
Merry Christmas from the other side of the San Gabriel mountains (Los Angeles)! I actually passed by Palmdale the other week (my first time in the Antelope Valley in a decade) en route to/from the Eastern Sierras. Was shocked to see how much it's been built up. Parts of it look indistinguishable from the San Fernando Valley! Somebody told me they sell blue styrofoam sheets at the Home Depots there in the AV. Is that true? If so, then you got yourself a source for landscaping material for your layout!
Another hello, from Big Bear Valley, land of the Big Bear Valley Model Railroaders. There are a number of model railroaders in Palmdale and Lancaster, whom participate here. You guys and gals need to get together and form up a round robin group. Good to have you on board here at TB. Bring your questions, answers and participation here to one of model railroaders finer websites.
