Hello all, I am new to the site and have many questions. I am interested in N scale due to space and have many questions concerning track selection. Where is the best area of the forum to go for specific info on track types and preferences. I am interested in knowing what other enthusiasts are using and why. I am a long time model builder and have built Ho gauge modular RR's in the past......way way way past. LOL I can not call myself a railroad super geek,, in fact I do not know my BN from my UP so to speak. Back in the day I guess I would have been a freelance builder with no rhyme or reason to my layout other than the look of the landscape and buildings. This time I want to do it right from the start and that is why I am here......to learn. Thanks Dandyfunk

    Welcome to TrainBoard!

Just hop over to our N Scale Forum area, and ask your questions. A lot of knowledge is available to you there. You might also find even more by searching through our message archives.

Hi Dandyfunk, Welcome to the TrainBoard. I agree that the N-Scale Forum is where you'll find the most informative scale specific help. Though the Inspection Pit Forum has lots of general non-scale specific information such as scenery, foundation (bench) building, general knowledge, and advice. Just ask away because we're happy to have you on board.

Thanks for the welcomes!!! can someone direct me to the best thread that will explain the different DCC manufacturers and their systems pluses and minuses. My last RR experience was when Digitrax had just come on the scene. Now I see at least three makers and need some input. I have searched and find scattered subjects but not a real head to head comparison. Dandyfunk
