Hello All, My name is Greg (screen name is Dragonslayer59) and I live in South Texas. I'm new to this forum and I'm modeling in Ho scale, and no prototypical area of the country. I've had two previous layouts in my garage, 1 4x8' and the other 8x12' L shaped, but due to the addition of a new car the wife is allowing (lol like she has a say, just kidding) me the upstairs loft area to build my forever layout if you will. I've made my first post in the Ho group if your curious to see my plan. I'm a DCC guy and will be using Digitrax for controlling the layout. My last layout (currently being dismantled) I used code 100 for the track and switches. With the new layout I'm looking at using code 83 I think, but....... not sure of the issues I might have if any. I'm hope that this forum is more responsive than the Anyrail folks as I have posted there many times asking for input and no responses, kinda frustrating if you ask me. I'm open to all suggestions you may have in regard to anything I post or ask questions about as I want to learn all I can from you all.
Welcome to TrainBoard! Your frustrations are understandable. Usually there is at leastbsome response for those asking questions. We have active forum areas for your questions. Layout Design. DCC. HO Scale itself. "The Inspection Pit", for general (non-scale specific) inquiries such as painting, scenery and....? If you have any questions about posting, answers can be found in our Support Forum.
Yea Greg WELCOME one more "HO" guy! Ya know me'thinks we're in the minority here but still treated quite well! LOL Do they still harass "long-haired freaks" in Texas?
