I have a unusually designed helixii that allows the train to be seen at various locations of the climb. 2% to 2.5% grades on the main line and up to 3% grades on the secondary or inner loop. Once the scenery is in this should make for some interesting rail fanning. I'd be happy to share how I built it but do agree with others in that you can loose a lot of space. On the flipside I can run longer trains and it takes longer to run the route. Loads of fun!
