George Easy solution, if you have another locomotive in the same road that has better lighting, put it on the point and let the one with the poor lighting always sit in back of the lead. As Raquel Welch once said, "it's whats up front that counts". I do something similar. I place my super detailed locomotives as the lead units and the unmodified factory units behind it.
Good thought David...but About all I have with DCC are GP38-2's !! Would look like a Chihuahua taking a Great Dane for a walk with a leash !!!!...LOL ** I do have a 'Trainmaster' with a really nice bright headlight ;-) But wrong era to be on the lead of an ES44AC I'm afarid :-( *** I'll just go with the greenish/yellowish headlight. I'll get around to changing it out...someday...no prob. **** But I still say I shouldnt have to change headlight leds on a NEW Model
