I'd like to take some time today to applaud the TrainBoard Staff, Administration and fellow members in all that you do for both the hobby and the community on this forum. After following the recent "Free Kato Loco" thread, and the way in which the staff here handeled the situation, made me realize exactly why I'm basically addicted to this forum. Thank you!
Trainboard is THE place to be! Thanks for all you do to keep this place running smooth!:tb-biggrin: -Mike
Thanks! The time we spend behind the scenes is more than the time we spend posting. I think that's true of all of the staff here. We are all dedicated to creating and running the best site that we can. We have our detractors, and they wound us, sometimes without mercy and also without merit. I'm often the target, as I'm outspoken in our defense. Those who meant to hurt me should know they have succeeded in every case. But I think Trainboard will roll on.
Pete, I believe that your, and your compatriots' sensitivity is a prime example of why the Trainboard is popular and a safe haven for us mere motals, that and your decidedly wry sense of the absurd.......:tb-cool: Thanks, Good Health, and Green Boards to All Y'All who participate, making this all possible.
Pete, Once you get to be my age it doesn't much matter what others think or how they attempt to hurt me. None of us are perfect and most of us, if not all of us are fallible...including those who throw those poision darts. It's obvious to me that the darts thrown come from inflamed persons with deep personal hurt issues of their own and need help. Usually, the dart throwing reflects more on the person throwing the dart then the intended reciever. Oh.... there are innocent blunders, now and then that were never meant to be hurtful. So, we take it in stride and let it bounce off of us, in hopes we aren't just passing on the pain to someone else. Pete, you and others here, do a fine job of keeping things on the level. The censorship is minimized and you allow reasonable disagreement among friends. All in all this has been a great website to participate on. I appreciate the friends I've made here and sit in awe at the work I see many of you doing. Including my thanks, for a great place to talk trains.
2008 was a great year for TrainBoard. I believe 2009 will be even better for TB. Thank you to all those who have supported this forum from the beginning. I recently paid my contribution to the forum by becoming a supporter. Just a couple dollars a month is all you pay to become a supporter. I love TB for its weekly "Railfan Photos of the Week" category. I believe I have had at least several photos posted on the R.P.O.T.W. Whenever I see my photo posted, I know I have done my job. Thank you, TB for allowing me to post my best from the "Railroads of Eastern Iowa". Good luck in '09.
I was away from my computer, during the holidays, until today, so I missed the mainstream of this thread. But, it turns out that the delay is okay and saved me the creative work. I had planned a "thank you" post of my own. Now with all of the above said with more eloquence and all of the sincerity that I could have generated, I can only say with the deepest sincerity - ME TOO!!!
I too would like to thank all of you that keep this board running so smooth. Before joining the TrainBoard I lurked at several train forum sites and something about this forum made me want to join. This is the best train forum in my opinion and I feel as if I am at home here. Ben
I also would like to thank all Moderators and Administrators that keep Trainboard up and a pleasant place to be. I've been on most of the model railroad sites and have lurked at several others. I feel at home here. Mr. Nolan I've enjoyed posting to/from you. You are fair and patient in any decisions regarding posts. Please let me know if anyone wounds you. I'll have Guido from South Brooklyn pay him a visit. He'll then learn how hard it is to hold up a car with his left arm :tb-wink::tb-smile: under the left rear tire. :tb-rolleyes: Best to Trainboard for 2009 and beyond. See ya Ron
Undeed Hats off to the TB Staff Yes been a member here now for about two years and the Staff of the TB are always fast, and professional in taking care of our concerns. And quite security concious which is nice is these times. They provide of with self expression and keep things clean and friendly at the same time without being seen. Something like a good sports Offical. That's one of the many reasons that I like this forum Community so. Thanks again
