One of the things that lead me to this message board was the discussion of the PennZee Z-scale conversion for turning a Marklin 4-6-2 into a Loewy Streamlined PRR K4s. It got me thinking - why couldn't a modeler perform his or her own conversion of a streamlined locomotive? Has anyone here done it? How was it accomplished? Maybe my fictional railroad needs a streamlined 4-8-4 as its first piece of motive power... -Dave
