I saw a structure on Fifer's website called Shultz Gears. It was produced by Model Tech Studios. I am thinking of purchasing this structure but before I do so I would like to know if anyone has any experience with it. Thanks for the opinions
I've just purchased some of their interior details, from Fifer. Not the people, but the shelving in these photos is their work (including the painting). Based on how happy I am with what can be seen, and the other detail parts I purchased, I wouldn't hesitate to try more from them. These are cast resin parts, but very well done - all parts (with one lone exception) had their backs sanded flat, and as well as all surfaces which are supposed to be flat. I can't say that about all the cast resin parts I've received in the past. In the A&P and
I purchased the Santa Fe Mission Style Depot along with the Passenger and Freight Extension Kits. These have made up into very nice models but not without a lot of work filing down the cast resin parts to suitable thicknesses. Can’t show you a photo I’m afraid as they are still in the last phase of construction – glazing the lower windows with a film PVA glue. [FONT="]All in all I found the kit a lot of work. I built their N-scale dock crane kit, and was impressed with it overall. Would definately buy from them again.
