Nice shot Darren. I've got a slide of a D&H Alco in the Guilford scheme, I think it's a C424? at East Binghamtom in 1990. I need to get a slide scanner and share it.

Back then, Guilford would throw stuff into service like that or with less! Very common to see partial schemes. I have slides of the Detroit Edison power, in DE paint minus lettering, with just a big G on the side. All kinds of wierd stuff (especially if it was near the end on the D&H!)

 

Yes Alan, the SD39s (as #690 above) were former N&W 2960 series. The link below shows her in full GRS "dress".

I would imagine so, 4 of IT's 6 SD39's went to Guilford after the lease was up with N&W if I remember right.
