Looking at my Beer Line Book, in the map of Milwaukee, Wis, I see a Car Ferry for the GTW, the red trackage shown on the map would seem indicate it was switched by the Milwaukee Road. Also there is a C&O Car Ferry that is shown served by "Private Owned or Public Trackage" anybody got info?

After seeing the nice Ann Arbor Car Ferry layout in the 2005 Modelrailroader Planning Issue, I am thinking since I really like Car Float opperations, that if there is a Milw. served Car Ferry Opperation in Milwaukee, that might be just the thing to fit in the Store Room.

(I really need to find a copy of MRHA special Pub#3 Milwaukee Road in Milwaukee, or get someone to copy theirs for me. And I have been looking for one.)

    Ron-

Out west, we had the car float (barge) operations. Ferries and barges were certainly a fascinating method of moving rail traffic. I saw them so many times, as I ferried across Puget Sound.

How is your book search coming along?
