The decals have arrived from Portugal allowing me to put the finishing touches on Carlos' scenicruisers. I used spray cans almost exclusively on them. Masking was the most tedious part. The school bus is a Randy Brown kit. The decals on it are from CMR decals. I still have some minor details to finish like finding replacement mirrors. Masking was too much for their delicacy.
Jim, Yep, got my decals yesterday as well. It's great that Carlos sought those out and made them part of the kit. As for your GREYHOUNDS ---- insanely beautiful. In fact everything on display is incredible. I have yet to tackle the any of the stockpile of vehicles I have ordered from Carlos, but your examples gives me inspiration of what is possible. Side note: There used to be (and I believe it's still available), a product called "Micro-Mask". It's a liquid based masking tape. The model car guys used to use it. My experience with it was so-so. Basically it's a thin body liquid that dries rubbery. Brush it over areas you don't want painted, then peel it off. Another option might be "Bare Metal Foil". Another product the model car guys use to simulate chrome. That can be used for masking, but rather tricky. HOWEVER, based on what I see in your work, regular masking is simply perfect. Lance
Thanks, Lance. Is there a way to rotate this? I'm not sure why this is happening. They are oriented correctly in my files. One of the buses had to be totally stripped and started over. This had no apparent effect on the model. The stripes on the buses are n-scale products. Jim
