I recently retired and can finally get back to my train setup. I started setting up a Noch Baden-Baden Preformed Layout many years ago but just didn't have the time. Now I've got the time and I'm making some progress. My wife wonders why she doesn't see me anymore. I haven't got the heart to tell her "there's method to my madness". Now with summer here, I admit I'm not working on my layout as much. I'd rather be on the beach. But I haven't given up altogether.. I'll be checking in periodically and hopefully I can contribute as well. Richard
Hey Richard, Happy To Have You On Board...Welcome!!! Warning, trains can become addictive, more than the Joisey Shore. Enjoy retirement, it's been fun for me. BTW, I'm surprised with the PRR ident. I would have expected PRSL....
Guess we know your favorite road? Welcome aboard and enjoy...maybe she can pitch in with some of the projects around the layout?
Welcome to TrainBoard! This is a perfect hobby for summertime. Those days which are too hot, or when the honey-do jar is overflowing, just disappear into the train room, keep cool and have fun.
Welcome aboard, Richard. Congrats on your retirement, and you will soon discover that in retirement, you wonder how you ever had time to go to work.
Hi Richard, I'm from Vineland NJ and not far from the fabulous Jersey Shore. I now live in Phoenix but come home about once a year to visit family, the shore, and Wawa! I grew up near the CNJ Bridgeton to Winslow Junction branch line. I have great memories of the train crew picking me up and taking me to Winslow as they set out cars for the PRSL. Congrats on your retirement! Bob
