What is the time frame for CPR using the green painted rolling stock, mainly the box cars but I have seen other cars also painted green.

Also does anyone know what the colour is called.

    Thanks in advance

With the advent of the multi-mark (pacman) scheme the colour used was action green which I believe is lighter than the green used with the script scheme.

What were the main years for the use of this colour?

IIRC the script era started in the mid-sixties and the multimark came into use around 1970. The action green was primarily used on 50' box cars in newsprint service with CP, CPAA, CPIS and QC reporting marks. A lot of these cars can still be seen in service re-stenciled for the Quebec and Gatineau in the 90s.

    Lenny-

What do the initials CPAA and CPIS mean? QC should be Quebec Central?

CPAA and CPIS (International Service) cars had clearance for interchange (and loading?) in the US. I believe things may have changed somewhat in this regards since NAFTA.
