Years ago I would make yearly trips from my home in White Bear Lake MN out to Green Bay WI to take photos of Green Bay & Western ALCos. I was (still am) a fan of ALCos and the GBW was the closest railroad that had a good supply of them. I did travel to see the A&M ALCos in Arkansas, LS&I and CNW ALCos in Michigan, and the few that Erie Mining had up on the north shore of Lake Superior, but the GBW was my favorite. Back then I would have never guessed that our local short line, the Minnesota Commercial, would buy a whole slug of the GBW ALCos that I had spent hours driving to see (now they go right by my office window).

Here are some slides that I took back in the 90's. All but one are from the Green Bay area.

And here is one on the MC just after they purchased a bunch of the GBW locomotives. This photo is at Midway yard in St. Paul MN.

I found this website on the GB&W that has a veritable plethora of info.

There was an article a few years ago(?), in one of the Kalmbach annual publications. A model RR designed on the GB&W. I started poking around. Am curious about the eastern end of that RR. What was called the Kewaunee, Green Bay & Western. Anyone know of a site with info?

I have an older Model Railroader that has an article on making a model railroad based on the GBW's east end.

I know a bit about Kewanee. It used to be a port for the Ferry across to luddington Mich until The badger (I think It was the badger) ran aground in the relativly shallow harbor. I don't believe there is much trackage left in he downtown area.
