I'd like to post about some excellent customer service I received from an online hobby shop (OHS). I ordered an MT Heavyweight 12-1 Parlor car (143 00 001) and received a 12-1 Sleeper (142 00 001). No biggie, right? There is only one number different, the numbers are small, and they look identical in the box. It was just a simple mistake and I'm not perfect either. I let the OHS know the problem and asked how they wanted to handle it? My response came in the form of a 12-1 Parlor car received free of charge in my next order. That's great customer service in my book.

Ever since my days in retail, I believe that if you are going to complain, you should praise as well. I won't say the name of the OHS but it probably comes as no surprise that they are a Trainboard advertiser.

I am a BIG proponent of supporting trainboard advertisers. It's been proven, in my mind, that it's worth the extra .0037% over the discounters ;) Of course, I shop at LHS's too... darn, I spend too much money on this hobby....

Their commercial name would help ... good service is always worth a named citation ... not all trainboard advertisers are the same, and calling one out for special recognition is helpful to all ...

Oh come on now, let us know which advertiser it was. :D

When you have a great experience with a TrainBoard Advertiser, we WANT you to tell us the names. :)

I personally think this place has the lowest prices - at least on anything I'm looking for.

If you can assure me I won't get in hot water with the TB rozzers . . . [IMG]

    Andy,

Don't do it. We are supposed to keep quiet if and when an advertiser screws over one of us, so we should keep names out of any discussion. Just to know that it was a TB advertiser should be enough. I think Mark is off base asking for the name.

Receiving praise is part of the package reserved specially for TrainBoard Advertisers. If you had a great experience with an advertiser, we want to know who it was with! :)

In the same manor, protection from bashing is also in the deal, which is why negative posts about advertisers are not allowed, nor are negative posts about any retailers. Such complaints should be taken up with the retailers themselves or, if necessary, the BBB or a lawyer.

Please refer to the policy on discussing retailers. It clearly states our preference towards advertisers. :)

Wig-Wag Trains is the hobby shop and I would like to note they, "try to treat all their customers fairly."

    They did right by me.
