Caught these in Pontypool on Sunday afternoon. I thought that this rail line between CP yard in Agincourt and Peterborough was abandoned.

The engineer was leaning out of the cab, trying to get the other crew members attention, as he was coming out of a restaurant with what looked like a snack!!

Nice pictures. Aren't those class lights above the number boards? Are they used? Thanks.

Flash, New to this so I have no idea if they are class lights or if CP uses the class lights. Hopefully one of the CP experts can respond to that question. I just looked at the picture again and those lights are not evident on the third loco, just on the first

3114 is or was one of the engines that use to be used down here for Toyota. Funny seeing it way up there.

No we do not use the class lights anymore. As they come thru Ogden for rebuild they are removed.

I thought that this rail line between CP yard in Agincourt and Peterborough was abandoned.

OKANE - as you found out, the line is still in use between the CP Agincourt yard (Toronto)to near Havelock (Havelock sub 286k 178 miles) and Havelock and Blue Mountain (Nephton sub 32k 20 miles). Most of the traffic is generated by the Nephton mine. The timetables list the line as being operated by the Kawartha Lakes Railway. There are usually two trains a day between Havelock and Toronto, and one train between Havelock and Blue Mountain. A Peterborough switcher operates as required.

Kawartha Lakes Railway (CP) local train number T05 (Peterborough switcher) on 2006/07/08 with CP GP9u #8208. Switching about 10 cars at Quaker Oats, and a special handling load at General Electric. The GE load is on Kasgro heavy duty flat # KRL70971.

You mentioned timetables. Are timetables for any of the Toronto area rail subdivisions available on line? I know I can get the VIA schedule, what about freights?
