Does anyone know when BN got rid of the GP18's? My normal source, the BN photo archives is no help on this one.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

BN turned them over to MK in June of '92. They came back a mere 5 months later as GP 28Ms![IMG]

While I don't thinks GP18s regularly passed through here, Indian Grave Springs is a really early name for Beezley Springs. Milepost 1600 on the GN/BN/BNSF in Central Washington state. Beezley Springs became Ephrata.

Reference to the goofy name is Robert Hitchman's "Place Names of Washington." There are no references to GP18s in that book either.:D

Bob DelGrosso's Burlington Northern Locomotives 1970-1996.

There was a photo in one of the early BNSF annuals as well.
