Hmmm. Entirely possible. I was thinking their orange was lighter and brighter, but...

The way red can go south with weathering, can't really tell from up here in the clouds...

I stumbled onto this thread. Looks like a fun challenge. I know little about railroads, railroading, loco identification or Google Earth.

My first reaction to clues are: - Snow? Not many places in G.E. with snow.... (Some sort of mineral....?)
    - I am thinking that the loco color may be a rusted light color - white? tan/beige, but I have limited sources to check....

Initial thoughts, SOO line? But searches there did not yield anything. Noses missing red paint...?

It is a lot of fun. It can challenge memory for what we've read, seen, heard of past and present railroading. Research skills. Map reading. Some of the clues are almost cryptic, others easy to grasp. Join in and play along!
