It looks like the locomotives seen match those of the California Northern. I'm not totally sure of that yet though. Was getting hard to search, after being up for abut 25 hours straight!!
Hmmmm. Seems like we've been here before. I was looking for red EMD GP7's and found pictures of Boltons Wheat Express, which I believe those engines are. I traced the line and ended in Wichita falls TX. Bingo, I found this before in contest no. 33, this time the red EMD's are showing in the picture, it must have been updatede in the meantime.
I had trouble with this one. But not for the usual reasons. Somehow the photo perspective seems to confuse my coordination between eyes and inner ear. :wideeyes:
I believe you're right- we have been here before. The Wichita, Tillman & Jackson shops in Wichita Falls, TX. The diesels you see are their chopnosed ex-Frisco GP7s, which they acquired from the Chicago & North Western (who got 'em from Frisco). Boy, talk about a case of cerebral flatus on my part.............hboy:
