I completely missed contest 3, which seems to have been solved while we on the very biased west coast of North America were yet slumbering. (A little joke for Mr. Hedley :angel
This one looks interesting. The upper photo appears to show some electrification, and it appears that there is some type of overhead loader for several of the cars.
The lower photo shows a waterfront with lots of facilities built on fill, and an airport off to the left.
I think it is southern hemisphere juding from the shadows.
The block pattern is fairly gridded, so I am thinking that it was mostly settled post 1750, or else heavily redeveloped.
Superhighway, 3 lanes in each direction, very large tollbooth= heavy traffic expected.
Daylight = not much traffic = weekend or early morning.
Breakwaters = large lake or ocean, not a river.
? - Suburban area of a large city.
I haven't found it, yet, but it seems that the main countries in the southern hemisphere with catenary electrification are Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, with a little bit in Zimbabwe as well.
Judging from the new-ness of some of the buildings, I would guess not somewhere as financially wrecked as Zimbabwe.
Note the airport is on the left side.
Okay, time for another small town in Russia...heheh
Wow, how about that two solved in one day.
Buenos Aires, Argentina
The location is in or near Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Beat me to it. I was about to post. I tried Australia first, then Rio, then up the coast of Brazil and finally down to Buenos Aires. And there it is.
Good one Ben. I'm not sure I would have spotted it because the inlet appears brown on my monitor and looks like land. I figured it couldn't be an ocean port because there's no visible sea wall.
Anyhow, I needed show you west coast brothers some love and then call a truce. Don't need no Tupac vs. Biggie style throwdown's here on the TB. The TB is the shiznit. Peace out.
We have a winner, jagged ben

Another one is on the way tomorrow. Until then, just mingle amongst yourselves.
Glad we drew you out in the open after more than a year. :teeth:
The last 3 have been solved before I even get to my lunch break.(West Coast)
I think we need more challenging locals that take at least a day to find. Avoid North America, and Large well known cities.
Or if you wanted to make it a big challenge, post a location without the compass showing.
Once people get up to speed on this contest, we will make it more challenging.
